Electromagnetic
Shield-Coatings
The
electromagnetic sheild coating has been manufactured
to meet the strictest control of electrical
interference. It is formulated utilizing
specially prepared metallic nickel to provide
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) on plastic
housings for a wide range of electronic equipment.
This highly conductive coating then provides
an effective sheilding against radiated electromagnetic
interference (EMI) and protection against
electrostatic discharge (ESD). The coating
offers a dry film thickness of 50µm.
The
coating is available for direct application
on thermoplastics although priming is nessessary
for thermoset plastics, including glass reinforced
polyester, glass reinforced phenolics, SMC,
DMC and polyurethane foam mouldings.
