We offer plastic and wood finishes for most thermoset plastics, natural wood, MDF and other composites.
We offer a range of surface coatings, treatments and finishes most for plastics including GRP, polythene, nylon, acrylics, perspex, polyethylene & polypropylene.
We offer a specially formulated electrically conductive coating for metallic and plastic substrates which can be used for either electro magnetic compapibility or electrostatic discharge requirements. the resultant coating offers a resistivity of less than 1 ohm per inch2.
The electromagnetic sheild coating has been manufactured to meet the strictest control of electrical interference. It is formulated utilizing specially prepared metallic nickel to provide electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) on plastic housings for a wide range of electronic equipment. This highly conductive coating then provides an effective sheilding against radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI) and protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD). The coating offers a dry film thickness of 50µm.
The coating is available for direct application on thermoplastics although priming is nessessary for thermoset plastics, including glass reinforced polyester, glass reinforced phenolics, SMC, DMC and polyurethane foam mouldings.
We offer water based industrial coatings for wood, in a range of colours and finishes. Both single and two pack top coats are available with the following finishes:

Water based coatings are ideally suited for use with plastic mouldings, GRP, polyporopylene, ABS, Noryl and most thermoplastics as well as suitably primed structural foams. The water based two pack coating is a polyurethane top coat that offers a finish of 25µm. Single packs are highly abrasion resistant and offer 50µm thick surface coatings.
We offer a specialist two pack polyurethane topcoat in three textured finishes, fine, medium & coarse, ideal for business machines, office equipment and electronic enclosures. The two pack polyurethane paint offered by Chingfords is ideal for concealing surface defects in mouldings, producing a brilliant high spec surface finish and provides a highly durable coating for interior use, excellent chemical resistance and long term colour retention properties.
We offer epoxy & polyurethane finishes finishes for wood and MDF products. Wood finishes are filled, sanded and prepared with a sealant prior to a suitable top coat. Dyes and varnishes are also available.
